A Day That Will Live In Infamy

This weekend Umlaut found himself in a crowded Costco.. At one point an older white gentlemen wasn't paying attention in the mob and almost ran into the shopping cart of an Asian brother who was minding his own business and going in the opposite direction.

Mr. Old White Man turned to his wife and shouted "I WAS ALMOST RAN OVER BY A CHINAMAN!"

I looked at Mr. Old White Man and it was as if the Chinese had bombed Pearl Harbor again! Wow... Such rage.

To be honest, I found it quaint that Mr. Old White Man still uses the Victorian term for a descendant of China... but he should be aware that here in the 21st Century the proper term is "Chink".
