Beck

Beck
The Fillmore
San Francisco
May 25, 2006

No, not THIS Beck.

Tickets for this sold out show were selling for up to $175 EACH on Ebay. I have to admit that the best part of the night was FINALLY watching a show from one of The Fillmore's VIP booths, which are behind and above the main floor. Coming in a close 2nd was Beck's vintage Danectrol Silvertone guitar... while standing next to Green Day's bassist rated a distant 4th after Tour Manager Doug's cheeky Jewel shirt.

Beck had a full-on puppet show onstage while he played. However, it wasn't as dramatic or impressive like when Iron Maiden brings Eddie onstage. The waitress who took our drink order was SHORT, unless child labor laws have changed and I missed it. You must be THIS tall to carry a drink tray.

Thanks once again to Tour Manager Doug for the +1 into his All Access Pass World. If you bought one of every Beck merch item you would have paid $180. On the way back to the car, some pimply-faced teenagers called us fags. The bouncer / usher at the VIP booths called me "Miss".. My gender is never questioned at Slayer shows.. Why is that??
