Umlaut was never a Quiet Riot fan, but I did see them a month after their Metal Health album was released... but before they became MTV's face for "Heavy Metal" that ushered in the Hair Metal Days of the 80's that Umlaut hated and fought against back in his Salad Days.
Trivia: Quiet Riot were supporting Vandenberg in Palo Alto.
It's always sad when a Rock Star dies... but somewhere Slade is looking forward to the royalty checks that are sure to come from the upcoming post-death spike in Quiet Riot sales.I hope Noddy Holder can buy a new car or something... as long as it's not a slick black Cadillac.
