Everybody's Working For The Weekend

This particular Saturday morning for Umlaut included 80 degree weather at 10:30am in the morning and sitting in the yard drinking his morning coffee while reading H.P. Lovecraft.

"In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming".

Can you get me some more coffee? What was that? Oh, virgin's blood, no sugar.. Can you switch the CD to Coltrane Plays The Blues too? Thanks!

Later that evening, as if in answer to that morning's events, Yog-Sothoth armed Umlaut with the power over time and flame as he grilled an amazing trout dinner.

As dusk fell upon a warm, still evening, Umlaut sat on a deck chair drinking a beer watching a small spider feed upon gnats it had snared in its web. Then, in an appropriate finale to the glorious day, one of the biggest spiders Umlaut has ever seen emerged to feed.

As I type this, and completely at random, Nick Cave croons from the stereo "They're bringing out the dead now.. It's been a long, strange day.."

Indeed.

"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents." - H.P. Lovecraft from "The Call Of Cthulhu"
