Do It For The Kids

The 2007 Major League Baseball All-Star Game is next week at AT&T Park here in San Francisco and hometown "hero" Barry Bonds is starting in left field. However, Bonds announced yesterday that he's sitting out the fan-favorite Homerun Derby event in his home park because "of the strain it would place on his body"... WTF?! Suck it up, Barry!

The event is basically televised batting practice for a sold out stadium and live ESPN broadcast, but fans love it. I pity the fool who has to break the news to this kid:
